dsh-mint tackles a concrete pain point: in DSH sessions the agent typically has no awareness of which issues are still open, which milestone is in flight, or how to keep host plans anchored to their mint counterparts. Once this plugin is loaded, every session opens with an injected [Mint] overview—the top open issues, the running milestone, and the rule for attaching new plans—so the agent starts with full project context instead of a blank slate.

The core design principle is to make the mint CLI a first-class in-process tool rather than a bash call. The plugin spawns mint inside its own process with zero approval prompts, zero sandbox write access, and automatic inheritance by subagents. Plan-mode binding (refusing exit_plan_mode when no active mint plan exists) and post-commit registration reminders lock the issue → plan → milestone workflow into every session. A bundled mint skill is content-synced into the skills directory on load, so the agent knows the workflow out of the box with no separate installation or hand-edited configuration.

It fits individuals and teams who already track projects with mint and rely on DSH for AI-assisted development. After a profile install and restart, plain-language requests like "list open issues," "file a bug," or "close this plan" just work—no need to teach the agent how to invoke tools or maintain YAML patches by hand.
