DSH Web GUI is designed for local loopback use out of the box. When accessed through a reverse proxy from another device on the LAN, the frontend detects a non-loopback environment and disables the settings panel, randomUUID becomes unavailable over plain HTTP, and WebSocket connections fail to relay correctly. dsh-reverse-proxy-xc exists to eliminate exactly these breakages.

The plugin starts an independent proxy process on 0.0.0.0:3090 and forwards requests to the DSH main service at 127.0.0.1:3080. At the proxy layer it injects an isLoopback=true flag to unlock the settings panel, auto-injects a randomUUID polyfill, and performs streaming pass-through for WebSocket, so a phone or tablet browser gets the same sidebar, session list, settings panel, and credential management experience as a local 127.0.0.1:3080 session.

If you want to casually check sessions on a tablet, manage API credentials from another device, or share a DSH entry point with teammates over a trusted intranet or VPN, this plugin is the one-toggle solution. It ships disabled by default; simply flip the switch in the DSH settings panel and you are good to go, with no extra dependencies and no changes to DSH core.
