The DSH web GUI bundles file management, config editing, and other panels, yet it has always lacked a terminal that lives natively inside the browser window. dsh-term closes that gap by docking a real local shell into the right-side panel, right next to the file manager, so you no longer need to keep Alt-Tab-ing back to a desktop terminal to run a build or inspect logs.

Under the hood, sessions are backed by node-pty, giving you a genuine PTY rather than a curated command runner. Interactive editors, REPLs, and any tool that expects a full TTY simply work. The multi-tab panel is rendered with xterm.js, with input and window-resize kept in sync in real time. Every new session inherits the current workspace root as its working directory, keeping your shell context aligned with the project you are editing. The entire plugin hot-plugs in as a profile bundle with no modifications to DSH source code required.

It is built for developers who drive their day-to-day project work through the DSH web GUI and want terminal, file browsing, and project context in a single window. The current A edition focuses on local user terminals; a planned B edition will add SSH connections and per-session shell selection.
