By default, a DeepSeek Harness agent is a blank page — it answers what you ask, with no taste, no preference, and no memory of what you told it yesterday. dsh-persona fixes that by giving the agent a switchable, persistent persona: a voice, a stance, and cross-session memory, turning a utility into a characterful companion.

Under the hood, three things work together. Before every turn, the active persona's prompt is injected as context so the agent responds in character throughout the session. Each persona keeps its own isolated memory that survives restarts, and the most recent entries are pulled in automatically when that persona is active — an-ruotong's memories never bleed into yan-guan's, and vice versa. Switching is a single tool call, and the choice is persisted to disk. Three carefully written personas ship out of the box — An Ruotong, a cool-eyed visual observer; Yan Guan, a sharp-tongued aesthetic judge; Lao Jie, a storyteller from an old bookshop — plus a Default mode to step back, and a config hook for your own characters.
