The DeepSeek Harness Web GUI ships with smooth vector SVG icons filled with currentColor, a standard modern-UI look. The moment you swap in the Fusion Pixel pixel font, the contrast between rounded Bézier curves and blocky pixel characters becomes jarring. dsh-pixel-icons closes that gap: at runtime it rasterizes every icon-level SVG and rebuilds it as 1-pixel blocks so the entire interface lives under one cohesive pixel aesthetic.

The rasterization is not a naive downscale-and-upscale. The plugin uses 3× supersampling combined with a block-coverage threshold (default 0.35) so that thin strokes remain continuous and evenly weighted after pixelation, with no gaps or aliasing. It selectively targets only SVGs carrying currentColor, automatically skipping functional graphics such as context progress rings, and mutates nodes in place to preserve React reconciliation, keeping sidebar folding and other layout logic working as expected.
