The official dsh-headless profile is built for a single-shot pattern: submit a task, print the result, exit. The moment you need to follow up, course-correct mid-run, or let the agent autonomously chain multiple tool calls, you are back to cold-starting the process and losing context. dsh-cli turns DeepSeek Harness into a Claude Code-style interactive terminal on headless servers: a persistent REPL where the same agent talks back and forth, responses stream in real time, approval prompts are answered inline with y/n, and every completed turn is flushed to disk so you can --resume where you left off.

The interaction layer focuses on the details that matter in a terminal: input typed while the agent is still running is queued and sent on the next turn, Tab completes slash commands and model names, arrow keys scroll input history, and Ctrl-C cancels the current turn without killing the process. Visually, TTY output gets colored Unicode boxes, inline tool-activity lines, and step separators; under a pipe or NO_COLOR it degrades cleanly to plain text so cron jobs and shell pipelines stay grep-friendly. The --once flag lets the same binary serve both interactive sessions and one-shot scripts.

Best suited for developers who keep a DeepSeek workload running on a remote Linux box, prefer a pure-terminal workflow over a browser, or need tmux to babysit an agent that autonomously chains tools for tens of minutes. No Host, HTTP, or browser plugins are mounted; the bundle stays lean with zero extra network dependencies.
